EXCLUSIVE! THE FAMILY OF ADRIAN BERESCU, VIOLINIST KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT, RECEIVED COMPENSATIONS. THE SUMS SET BY THE MAGISTRATES ARE SIGNIFICANT
After a process that lasted almost three years, the family of violinist Adrian Berescu was compensated by the judges. The father and daughter of the artist received compensation of around 800 thousand Ron. Berescu family was represented by the well known lawyer Gianina Poroșnicu. Since the perpetrator of the accident declared he does not have money to “compensate” the loss suffered by the family, the judges decided that the damages will be supported by the Protection Fund for the Street Victims. Adrian Berescu was a violinist with the State Philarmonic in Iași. ”Admits partially the civil action in case submitted by Berescu Tudor and consequently: obligates the responsible part, Association of Protection Fund for the Street Victims to pay the following compensation – to civil part Berescu Tudor 24.500 Ron as material damages as well as 300.000 Ron as moral damages; – to civil part Berescu Maria-Miruna 11.756 Ron as recurrent compensation, calculated at the date of the accident, 18.08.2011 and until January 2015, inclusively and then 198 Ron monthly compensation, starting with February 2015 and until the end of her studies, but only until the age of 26, as well as 450 Ron as moral damages”, reads the solution by the magistrates from Făgăraș Court.
Sequence of events accidentAccording to Făgăraș police, three years ago Adrian Berescu was legally traveling in traffic with his Kawasaki motorcycle on the national road that connects Făgăraș and Brașov municipalities. He violently hit a combine harvester driven by an individual under the influence of alcohol. The driver didn’t even have a driving licence. “Around 17.30 pm, 50 years old Constantin Ioniță, was driving a combine harvester on a field road and reaching the intersection with DN 1, did not respected the circulation sign – Stop – and entered the national road, where he hit a 42 years old motorcyclist from Iași, who was legally driving from Brașov to Sibiu. The victim was transported in serious condition. Also, the combine driver was tested positive for alcohol consumption, the result being 0,54mg/l pure alcohol in expired air and was later taken to hospital for biological sampling”, is specified in the Brașov Police report. Subsequently the artist died. His relatives said the he was going alone in an excursion on the Transfăgărășan road. Besides his love of music and violin, Adrian Berescu, nicknamed TAZ, also loved motorcycles. He founded East Side Dogs MC club.
